The hotel is extremely modern, our room was amazing - the bed was really comfy. The tv only showed spanish channels, you have to pay to watch films, although there was a good selection. Just a warning - the bathroom had a window in, which I believe is common in Barcelona! It did have a blind, but you can still see through it. So don't share a room unless you know your companion well!! Plenty of towels in the room and you can pay 3 euro for a pool towel. There was no hairdryer in our room but was provided with one immediately when I asked about it. The pool area is lovely, again very modern. However, there is building work going on directly opposite the hotel, which breaks any relaxing silences. The hotel's bar area is great although very pricy. The breakfast was delicious with a vast array of pastries, eggs, sausages, cold meats and cheeses, cereals, fresh fruit and pancakes and the coffee was delicious! I would recommend this hotel for a break but would not stay there for more than 3 days due to location. It was full of business people attending a conference, as the main convention centre is just across the road.

Top Tip
The tram stop is directly opposite the hotel. The diagonal mar shopping centre is a two minute walk and has plenty of shops to keep you busy. Also has a good selection of bars and restaurants. There is a sightseeing bus which stops at the back of the shopping centre. We spent the whole day sightseeing as you pay 21 euros each, and it takes you all around sights including the olympic stadium, Gaudi's cathedral and the Nou Camp. You can hop on and off the bus at any of the stops and they run all day. We would really recommend this to anyone who wants to see the main sights, especially if you don't have long in the city.
