Great breakfast, fresh with lots of choice.
Simply one of the best locations in Barcelona.
All round, one of the best 3-star properties in city centre.
The hotel is big on service and really looks after its customers.

Our Review

A real favourite with many of our visitors to Barcelona, the Catalonia Portal De L Angel has a bit of everything: comfort, service and location. This well designed comfortable hotel is only 100 metres off Plaza Catalunya and the Ramblas. On low season dates it offers excellent value for its standard and location, but can be relatively expensive in high season.

The hotel is located on a pedestrian street and overlooks numerous shops, like Zara, Mango, Diesel and others. Nearby, you will find the well known, El Cortes Ingles and several shoe shops. It is the ideal location for those who love shopping. Just 2 minutes' walk from the hotel you will find the small Del Pi Square, where an abundance of cafes, delis and restaurants are available. The Gothic Cathedral is just 4 minutes' walk from the hotel and Catalunya Square and Las Ramblas are just 50 metres away. The closest metro station is Catalunya and Liceu (green line). The harbour with its popular fish restaurants and nightclubs is just 10 to 15 minutes walk from the hotel. Barcelona International Airport is 12 kilometres away and access to and from it is really easy if you are using the airport bus, since it is the last stop on the route. The Albinoni has undoubtedly one of the best locations in the city.

an ideal location,one street back from La Ramblas so it was quieter of a night.... Right in the middle of things but nice and quiet at night. ... Very convienient location...
