Catalonia Berna
Roger de Lluria 60, Barcelona 08009
Our Review
The Catalonia Berna has a privileged location in the affluent Eixample district, just a few minutes' walk to the Passeig de Gracia, while Plaza Catalunya can be reached in roughly 10 minutes on foot. Accommodation is bright, airy and modern, and equipped with a good range of amenities. The hotel's bar, cafe, and restaurant serve a great variety of both national and international dishes for guests to sample.

The Catalonia Berna is housed in a beautifully restored traditional building, which was designed in 1864 by Catalan architect Josep Cerda and is classified as an historic monument. Its structure and the paintings on the exterior evoke the eclectic style of the mid-19th century. The medium sized lobby is appointed in a contemporary style with marble floors and a curving wooden reception desk. The 124 guestrooms feature modern décor with designer furniture, bold stripes and parquet floors. All extend to balconies with city views and are well maintained, as are the en suite bathrooms. The bar, cafeteria and restaurant offer a wide variety of national and international dishes.
