The Espana boasts a fantastic location just off the Ramblas, ideal for those who want to be in the hive of activity. Having previously operated as simple two star hotel, the hotel has been resurrected as a contemporary stylish four star hotel, after a major two year refurbishment. Guest rooms are now sleek, modern, and equipped with a good range of amenities. The restaurant's executive chef holds three Michelin stars, and has created a menu of traditional dishes that have been given a modern edge.

The hotel is located just a couple of minutes' walk from the Ramblas, Plaza Catalunya and the Gothic Quarter. The nearest metro station to the hotel is Liceo.

Short walk to La Ramblas, food market and cat sanctuary... right in the heart of the old city ... right next to a building site ... right in the heart of the city ... Fantastic location, perfect for la Rambles... Good location near metro... a great location ... within easy walking of lots of Barcelona sights... well located just off the ramblas... the hotel is in a superb location... Perfect for travellers looking for a central property on a budget... Fabulous location... Excellent location ... In the middle of the action ... easy access to metro/bus... situated literally just off La Ramblas...
